I have read where to and to carry private property. But am still unsure. My job requires me to drive onto people's property. If my ccw is in my vehicle am I allowed. Do I still have an expectation of privacy in my vehicle.
Thanks

This grammar is not legal. :)
Do you have an LTCF?
On private property, the owner or lessee of the property sets the rules ( to a carrying degree). They can dictate whether you can carry, smoke, drink coffee or walk on the grass. It is their property. They can tell you to leave, once they do that you are in defiant trespass.
Not sure what you mean by expectation of privacy. Signs that read "vehicles are subject to search" at a gate are fine. If you do not agree to those terms, you can park outside the gates.
I've had more readable bowls of Alpha bits.
Latin or Cyrillic?
I'm not sure what you do or that it matters. I'm a contractor. Gun is in a lockbox in the truck or on me. Who would know?
ok, lets try this again.
iam a contractor, i sometimes pull into a clients driveway, putting me on private property. is it legal to have a weapon in my truck at that time.
i dont believe, its the same as walking around with it, on there property. i know what everyone is saying, if they (meaning the home owner) doesnt know, whats the big deal. i agree.
i believe, besides my grammar, this might make more sense. can the home owner still say get off my property if the gun is in my truck. i was curious and just a question.
THANK YOU.......GEEEEZE.
They can tell you to get off their property no matter what is in your truck. If it is locked in your glove box or console, they would never know unless you told them and you only break the law if you don't leave the property when asked.
Ianal. That is just what I have gathered from this forum, I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong.
In PA there's no law stating to inform a property owner that you are legally carrying.
Keep it in the truck, don't say a word about it to ANYONE and get the job done.
How in the world would they KNOW there's a gun?
You don't have big ole bumper sticker saying " I'VE GOT A GUN HIDDEN IN MY TRUCK" do you?
The property owner can ALWAYS say "Get off my lawn!" for whatever reason: maybe they don't like the color of your eyes, your truck, or the Pink with purple polka dots AR15 in your truck window.
Wasn't going to say anything. Just want to know as much about what I can't and what I can do About carrying.
Yes, it's legal. You have not broken any laws unless you refuse to leave if asked. Then , it becomes defiant trespass, has nothing to do with guns.
Welcome to poofa, don't get discouraged.
Check out the forum on concealed and open carry, stickies there are full of info.
Duh, for some reason I thought this was posted in the general gun section.
What if you tell the person that you don't want them to carry but then they do and you take their gun. Is it stealing if you tell them first?
yes. i have read and printed the flyers. when it came to private land it was a little sketchy for me.
thanks
And yes im a talker not a writer spelling, grammer etc. it all sucks.
i have limited knowledge of computers. my wife and daughter, especially my daughter at 12 yrs. far smarter then me.
If you do not have a LTCF then you have another problem if you a traveling with a firearm in your truck for no reason. You can only transport firearms to certain locations and only when going directly to and from that legal location (i.e. shooting range, firearms store for repairs, etc). Plus your ammo and firearm have to be in separate containers.
Get a vehicle safe and mount it to the truck, either out of sight, or cover it with something(the safe).
If the homeowner isn't prohibited, I would have him hold the gun for safekeeping while on his property provided he has an LTCF.
It would be interesting to see what a lawyer has to say about this. If your a contractor, the property owner is your employer (sort of). It would be interesting to find out if the law about leaving a gun in your car on your employer's property applies here.
Just keep it in your car and most importantly, keep it to yourself
