Careful now! You'll be labeled a redneck with talk like that. :D
I have an 03 TJ that I use the wheel when I lived in Colorado. Lots of great terrain there, not so much in PA. Not many things cooler than a lifted Jeep with 35's.
We just took a 2015 Willys for a test drive yesterday, for my girlfriend. She loved it. I plan on picking up a '15 F150 King Ranch in July, and the Jeep will follow shortly.
My son picked up an 05 wrangler three months ago. Other than having it back to the dealer to replace the oil pan gasket the starter and ignition switch he loves it.
Now he is saying it clunks when he puts it in gear. Maybe a u joint. Good thing he opted to get the extended warranty.
Here's some pics of my '85 CJ. This was the one I always wanted. Well, almost. It had the 2.5 4cyl and not a 4.0 6cyl or v8. Pic was taken back around 2002.
Ended up selling to fund the house for the wife and kid. One day, I plan on getting another...
I've been jeepin' everyday since 1990... :D
Have three in the garage right now.
That's the funny thing, she has NO desire to take it off the pavement, ever. I understand not beating on it, but it's okay to get some mud flying on occasion. But, it'll be hers, so I don't really have a say in it.
Although, I keep making the argument that if I'm going to be paying half of the monthly bill, I should get to have a little fun with it.
I have a 2013 on 35's with lots of mods.

Have one myself and now it is time for some mods. Y'all doing your own lifts or do you have a place you recommend? I am looking at a simple 2 inch lift but when I change out the tires and all I want someone who can reset the computer and tune it right.

98 Cherokee classic. 5.5 lift, cut and folded fenders, on 285 70 R16s (33×10.5)
In the shop at moment getting transmission work and new tires mounted, balanced and alinement. I hate when shes away from home. But i don't do transmission work. :(
Lifetime, paid 360.00 delivered for all 4 including A-pillar mounts and wiring harnesses made specifically for an S-pod, did lots of research and these are hard to beat for quality, price and warranty. Lots of people running these on jeep forums and they all seem very happy.
You would have to really do something drastic to bust these up, these lights are built like tanks. If your really worried about breaking I would call first to make sure badly abused is covered under the warranty. I honestly don't see these things breaking like cheap lights do.
I bought them direct, if your a member on the wranglerforum they have a promo code that gets you 10% off your order.
I love mine, just wish it got decent gas milage, being shaped like a brick that ain't going to happen, but no problems on the highway. Of course that changes with certain mods like oversize tires and lift.
That said, I have a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited and wifey has a 2014 Grand Cherokee.
I've done some minor mods, swapped out the tires, changed the stock fog lights to Inspired Engineering 4 cube LED's, well worth the money, installed a CB and a few other things.
I have no real desire to offroad with it, I've always wanted one, but as my daily driver I just don't want to break/rust it up. I drive a tri-axle dump truck for a construction company, a lot of days I'm off-roading in it, muds, rocks, getting unstuck, and getting paid, so I get my fill of that type of stuff at work. I have had a blast in the snow with it though.

Sorry, not a Jeep if it has four doors. Heep maybe. Jeep NO. :)
Here's my 04 WJ. Lifted 2.5" on 31.5" Grabbers. Added the Overland rock sliders, and OEM hitch. Also has Fawkes Fab front shackle tabs. This was from before I moved here, so ignore that hideous yellow plate.

I want to add to this, there is one problem, if you do a lot of (high speed) highway driving with a Wrangler get a glass rider on your insurance policy. I'm on my third replacement windshield and have a few chips in that one. The Jeep windshield is straight up and down, it absorbs stones, doesn't deflect them. I paid a $250 deductible for the first one. Now I pay an extra $20 per installment payment for no deductible.
My daily driver is a 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited with the 4.7.

I have a 63 CJ5 I have modified to look like an M38A1 with an M416 trailer.

I have a 67 Kaiser Jeep M35A2 deuce and a half I bobbed last summer.

Pa has plenty of wheeling, most of it is just kept a secret because of its questionable legality and bigger crowds always ruin it. In south west PA we sometimes get rides together on pgh offroad forum.
I met user NEAHS & he's got an awesome built TJ. Here's a couple links he sent me:

I've only got a stocker 2004 WJ for now, but that's enough to get us all over Rausch Creek. I've had 2 YJs, but when I get another Wrangler, I think I'll get a TJ.
Where are you located?
New boots for my station wagon.

You can find some Pittsburgh based ride planning happening here: http://pgh-offroad.com/forum/forumdi...-Ride-Planning
Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is the second weekend in June.
Scrubgrass offroad park was very close to Pittsburgh and had some events last year but I'm not sure what the current status is. They had a lot of trails but I think they had trouble with their event insurance.
Rock Run in Patton, PA is open.
Rausch Creek is out past Harrisburg but a good weekend trip with camping available.
Steel Valley 4x4 in Steubenville had a park called Cable Creek I went to once, not sure what the current status is.
Big Rubbers 4x4 out by Johnstown has their own park and they have public events once a year called Spring Thaw, looks like it just happened: http://bigrubbers4x4.org/forum/
Wheeling in Wellsville, Creek Falls, and Casparis is uncertain and you will need a local guide. Things are always closing and opening up.
The Ligonier/Johnstown ridge trails running around State Game Lands 42 are still open. I was always the local guide for those trails and still take people out there for a nice day of easy to moderate wheeling with some harder optional obstacles.
I'll send a PM, best to keep trail info limited to not just anyone who can google.
Hey jeepers and off-roaders, I'm hosting a Pittsburgh Offroad Meet and Greet at my place near West Newton, PA on August 1st. We will be having a BBQ, bonfire, etc. I have room for some 100 yard 4wd drag racing, an old Buick for an RTI ramp, and some prizes for best of show, worst of show, etc.
PM for more info and check into the thread on PGH-offroad.
I've got an '03 WJ. It's stock, and it's used more for a family car than anything else, but I do have fun in the snow with it.
Anyone have a good source for the skid plate that goes under the gas tank? Mine's rotting out. Rest of the car is in great shape, but as that skid plate is what actually holds in the tank, it needs fixed...
Funny this thread was bumped. As of last week I am the proud owner of a '15 Wrangler sport. Got the hard top, manual transmission, and Firecracker Red. Just got my soft top and a few other goodies I found while surfing Quadtatec. I also joined the JK owners forum, since besides PAFOA, it is one of the few that are not blocked at work. I saw a couple of fellow PAFOA members over there.
So far, I am pretty happy about it. Although as luck would have it there hasn't been a full day without rain since i got it. Cant wait to take the doors and the top off!
Wasn't too bad. I've ran BFGs and then the BFG KM2S pretty much exclusively since I've lifted my xj. Got tired of dropping almost 3 bills a tire so i decided to try something different. Got these general grabber at2s for around $ 150 a tire and am loving them so far.

I ran my last set of km2s till they passed for racing slicks lol. I'll try and find a pic.
Didn't know there were any other JFC guys here. You all still meeting at Sonic every few Tuesdays? And was that a creepy fab bumper I spied?
Anyways, here's my '99 with a bastard ~3.5 lift [

Don't really talk to the JFC guys much anymore. But the reasons are not something id post on another forum, they all still good guys. Nope bumper was made by a guy on Cherokee forums and then reinforced by me. Looks a lot better now just put a fresh coat a paint on it yesterday. Creepy fab? Thats got to be brad.... i should get in touch with them some time. Had some good times at sonic meets. Never got out wheeling with them and i think that pissed a few guys off.
