Re: Iron city armory rant
What a dumb ass.
Unfortunately, this is far too common amongst many gun shops.
I don't know what it is, but apparently being an arrogant douche must be a requirement to get a FFL these days.

Those shops go out of business in a few years. Sadly, I don't think that he'll make it five years.
Re: Iron city armory rant
I'd say the rant is well warranted. Don't forget to put feedback on google.

Well, today is Wednesday so I went in expecting to shoot and they tell me the range isn't open. They're still waiting on the state inspection, nothing they can do they say. At this point, my patience is gone. A simple fucking thing you could have done to save me and who knows how many other people the time of preppring to shoot and driving over there would be to post that update on your page where your owner said you would be open Wednesday. Why is he shooting in the video if they're still waiting for the inspection? It took me 20 minutes to drive there but it would have taken a total of maybe 10 seconds to type "opening delayed pending final inspection". The range not being finished isn't what pissed me off, it's that apparently there was nothing they can do. I hate that fucking line. I've already paid the membership and I have a suspicion they're not going to refund it, I did ask and got a complete non-answer that I would need to talk to the owner who's never there. For now, I will reserve judgement and see where this goes because I have no other options. If I hadn't already invested $300 into this range, I would never go back there for any reason.
UDPDATE! As of 12-19, they have refunded my range membership and told me never to come back. Below is the screenshot from their facebook page because I couldn't get the owner by calling. I went in, they wrote me a check and told me I was no longer welcome in their store. The image speaks for itself.

This is the private message this guy sent from his personal facebook page.

I just found this thread, and all I have to say that I'm surprise, but relieved, that I didn't spend 250 on one of their memberships. I've been watching this range/club closely, and I'm FB "friends" with Jason, but now that I have a look at his character, I'm glad that I didn't lay out the cash. Time to "unfriend" someone.
Maybe I'll look closer at that new Washington county range.

A&S in Youngwood is $250 a year. OK, its not in Pittsburgh, but they won't treat you like that.

I'm not a member there, but I do shoot there a half dozen times/year and I agree, they are GTG.

I wish those facebook post screen shots were large enough to read.
Everyone in Pittsburgh should read them.
I truly hope that illiterate dickhead running Iron City Armory LLC not only goes out of business, but loses his shirt in the process.
Re: Iron city armory rant
I went there today. The owner wasn't there but everyone was nice. The facility isn't the slickest commercial range that I've been too but it was okay. They really transformed the place in the few weeks since I went in to buy my membership.
I would like to see them put some acoustic tiling on the walls. Maybe I'll make that suggestion and then run for the door.
Re: Iron city armory rant
Yesterday, I figured that I'd go to range. I checked their facebook page and it said "Open" so I grabbed the gun bag and my daughter grabbed hers. Drive to the range and they are closed. Nice.
I'd complain but I'm sure that he'd ban me from the range.
