Very nice. I'd like to hear more about the carbon fiber handguard. Did you lay it up or start with carbon fiber tube and do some work to it?
I used carbon fiber tubing. I turned a barrel nut out of some aluminum bar stock that the carbon fiber would slide over then turned a aluminum collar that slid over the tube, glued the collar to the tube then screwed it to the barrel nut. I cut the cooling vents on my mill.
It's great and looks comfortable. I got rid of my triangle forearm and got a slimmer m lock. This looks way better.
I like it - and the work you do yourself is impressive, but 8 lbs after a carbon fiber handguard and a lightweight barrel?
Is that scope 4 lbs by itself? :confused:
