The two-year anniversary of Virginia Tech, the largest massacre by a sole gunman in the country's history, is only one week away.
In the two years since, what has changed, what has been fixed, and what has stayed exactly the same?
Immediately following the tragedy, Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and other authorities called on lawmakers to close the so called "gun show loophole" -- by which anyone can buy a gun from a private dealer with no background check and no questions asked. Two years later, that loophole is still very much open, in Virginia and 32 other states around the country.
So just how easy is it to buy a gun at a gun show?
And yes, they legally buy some guns and then turn them over to the police.
What does any of this have to actually do with VT anyway?!

So, let me get this straight.
He buys a HANDGUN, FTF, no FFL, and gets away with it?

Depends on the state. FTF handgun sales are legal in many states... as they should be here too.

Yeah, but they weren't doing it in PA. In some states, it is perfectly legal to do a private sale of a handgun without involving an FFL.
(eta: damn PA Patriot is quick on the draw!)

Ok, I was not aware of that. I thought if was a Federal thing.
Thanks.

what do you expect from a liberal news station? instead of looking at the real problem, they'll divert the subject to something it's not.
Re: 20/20 on ABC: "Easy Access: $5,000 and One Hour Buys 10 Guns" ("gun show loophole
The bigger deception is their spinning it as if ALL gun show sellers are selling to any Tom , Dick or Harry without any checks , when the truth is the vast majority of tables at shows are held by Licensed Dealers which are bound to the same exact rules as those they have to follow in their brick and mortar store . Plus the fact that even the FBI/NIJ Stats consistently show time and again that its something like 2 or 3% ? Of " crime guns " each year that are coming from gun shows . Im sure everyone in this fine group knew all this already :D
I said the same thing when that other special was on MSNBC a couple Sundays ago . I know we have people here that are tech wizards , we collectively have all the facts needed to prove the Anti's and MSM are lying , a small group of us should get together and shoot point by point counters to these ridiculous programs and send them out over You Tube . I dont mean under the official auspices of PAFOA or anything , just a bunch of members getting together informally to make a stand ;)
Re: 20/20 on ABC: "Easy Access: $5,000 and One Hour Buys 10 Guns" ("gun show loophole
The term gun show loop hole has always bugged me. The is no loop hole in Pa.
Re: 20/20 on ABC: "Easy Access: $5,000 and One Hour Buys 10 Guns" ("gun show loophole
so of course I'm absolutely, positively certain that the 20/20 will also spend time hashing out if the law's have been changed to de-regulate the "defenseless victim" zones...right?
I'm not holding my breath on that one...lmao
