Effort man pulls gun in Kinsleys Market
Pocono Rag this AM----
January 29, 2010 An altercation between two men resulted in gun charges against one in Chestnuthill Township Monday.
Justin Marcus Campbell, 19, of Effort got into an argument with a 48-year-old man from Palmerton at Kingsley's Market in Chestnuthill Township at 1 p.m., when he pulled a firearm and held it at his side.
Charges are being filed in district court.
I am going shopping there this am!!
What is going on? Just because people carry they can use it to muscle people around? Look what can come of this--No guns allowed in this store ( I will shop elsewhere thank you), bad rep for people who carry etc, etc.
Re: Effort man pulls gun in Kinsleys Market
so the 19 yr old had the gun???.......sounds like all these gun restrictions are REALLY keeping them out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them...
he's 19....he shouldnt have had a gun to begin with. wonder if it's one of the ones that got taken from that member's dads house.
what do you know...I guess criminals DON'T abide by the law! who would ever guess??!!........:p
he's damn lucky that older gentleman wasn't someone that carries....if he is he showed great restraint!
Re: Effort man pulls gun in Kinsleys Market
Yet another example of what once was a nice small market (pre shop-rite)
being turned into a shit hole by the Pocono scum.

Oh I get it. If they put up a sign saying you can't bring a gun into the store the criminals (which this kid is/was) will then abide by the new sign and things like this won't ever happen again.

unfortunately this is still only the beginning... political correct bullshit and not being able to punish your kids started a downward spiral into an even bigger cesspool of society.

Jabo, tell your wife it's better to have one and not need it then to not have one and need it. Kinda like a drivers license. Just because you have one doesn't mean you have to drive a car, but if you want to you can.

Thanks Tootie for the advise. I have been dropping hints and talking about all the reasons to acquire for quite some time now. This I think is the straw that broke the camels back.

This is the same kid that pulled a BB gun out up at the Unimart on 115 a few weeks ago!

The two men involved with a late-night shooting at an Effort convenience store are headed to court.
Kenneth Warren Reddick, 26, and Justin Marcus Campbell, 19, both of Effort, waived their preliminary hearings Friday and will head to trial. No dates for their trials have been set.
The Dec. 27 shooting incident happened in the parking lot of the Uni-Mart on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, according to state police at Fern Ridge, and started over Campbell firing a BB gun at Reddick's home on Christmas.
Reddick said he was at the store when he noticed a friend of Campbell's. Campbell showed up at the store at about 4 p.m.
When he got there, according to an affidavit of probable cause, Reddick said Campbell got out of his vehicle, pulled out a gun and started shooting. Reddick said he got his own gun, aimed above Campbell's head and returned fire.
Campbell got back into his vehicle and fled north on Route 115.
Reddick stayed at the scene and was detained by police. Campbell was found on Route 115 shortly thereafter. Police said they discovered it was a BB gun Campbell had been shooting at Reddick.
Campbell is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, criminal mischief and terroristic threats and four counts each of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Reddick is charged with one count each of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
