I didn't plan to OC, but it happened.
I went shooting the other day and a friend was doing the driving. I asked him to stop at WAWA in Quakertown so I could get a drink. I hopped out of the truck and went in the store with my G23 on my hip and no cover garment. Once we got to the range he asked, " did you have that on you when you went in WAWA, did you untuck your shirt?" My answers were yes and no. Uneventful was an understatement. I still prefer to CC, but will not go out of my way if I have to jump out of the truck to run in a store. So folks, my cherry has been popped.
Guns are dangerous, but no guns is more dangerous.

I cannot speak for you or your personal experiences, nor can I speak for your community. I can only say that this one experience of yours is exactly what I experience all the time, and I OC everywhere it is legal.
OC or CC (or even no carry for that matter), it is everyone's personal choice, and I respect each. The negative encounters get a lot of "press" here on this forum because there is so much to learn, and to do, when it happens.
But the negative is anything but the norm.
Glad your experience was a good one, thanks for posting it!
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Yeah, this is the norm for me too. People think I post a lot about my carry experiences, but I only post the interesting ones. Most of the time it is about as exciting as it is openly carrying my cell phone on my belt.

Unfortunately, in some (many?) states, that could have caused you legal trouble.
It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch

Hit my workplace (nobody there), the video store (drop off only), Giant Eagle (needed dog food), and Dollar General (needed toilet paper and one or two other items). OCed all the way. Nobody said a word.
