What do you use for a Range Bag?
I have a couple of Speer Gold Dot bags (about 15" x 7" across the bottom) I got a long time back. They have two removable pockets for pistols.
I am closer to a range than I have ever been (Guthsville).
I think I want to start carrying a good bit of shooting supplies in the car in case I get a chance to get to the range....normally I take several pistols (4 or 5) and a rifle or two when I finally get a chance to get out. Which means several different boxes of ammo, a couple of hearing protectors (I always keep some spares in case I'm taking someone shooting--and I forget to get an extra pair out of the storage area), some targets, some cleaning and basic gunsmith (screwdriver, plastic tipped mallet) supplies, even a small pair of binocs to check out the target.
By the time I'm fully loaded...that means 1 Pistol box (or more) with 4+ Handguns, 1 rifle bag, two range bags (for the above + spare mags), and probably some other junk.
I want to get a bigger range bag together to store most of the stuff and have some room for ammo....
So, just looking for ideas.
Thanks!!

Re: What do you use for a Range Bag?
I thought about a Tool Box (and I have a couple of spares), and also something like a 24" Duffel bag to hold everything.....
I definitely don't want to spend $100+ on the latest/fanciest Taticool Bag...for $100, I think I can still find a 20rd box of .223.
Thanks for the suggestion(s).

I use the "Mod" from I-shot. It can hold many pistols has built in pockets for magazines, eyes, ears and everything else under the sun you could possibly need. Very well built and easy to organize. It says its under redesign at the moment but I've had great success with their product.

Re: What do you use for a Range Bag?
I don't, I use a Gil Hebard gun box. It holds 4 pistols securely in the upper tray, has enough room for ammo under that, a cubby for glasses and hearing protection and 2 drawers for magazines, small parts and tools and other supplies. It also has a spotting scope mounted inside the lid.
The biggest problem with it is that when fully loaded I have to hire someone to carry it for me!

MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag $40

It is big. It has two pistol pouches on the inside plus room for two plastic pistol cases. On the outside I carry ear muffs and ear plugs, a cleaning kit, spare parts, snap caps, and there is still room left over.
