Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays
Been there twice this week...gotta say...I'm hooked.
Very clean, neat and modern facility - NSSF five star rating!

Re: Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays
I went a while back for my bachelor party and had a ball. I've always meant to go back but just never got around to it. For those not familiar with Sporting Clays it's like golf (even with a cart) but with shotguns and clays. Different stations on the course with different difficulty patterns at each station.
At the time I hadn't shot my shotgun in years (haven't shot it much since unfortunately). My party was split into two groups. Of my group I was the only person with any real shooting experience and was the only one to break a clay on the teal stage which impressed the instructor that was with us. Mind you my gun is a heavy SxS more suited for hunting. Only my father (in the other group) beat my score but I doubt I'll ever be able to beat him. His gun is much lighter than mine though so maybe that's it, lol. Makes mine feel like a boat anchor. Maybe it's time his gun becomes my gun.

Re: Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays
Truly a great place to shoot, you become spoiled when you shoot there vs. other sporting clay courses. One of the posters above said its like golfing. I like to call it Golfing but for Men. Its truly a first class facility and like someone above said the owner is on the BOF for the NRA. And that's his mansion that you see behind the back lake. I have shot there probably 20 times (I'm 90 minutes away) but I have never had a bad experience. One thing I will say is if you plan to go and rent a cart you should call ahead and reserve one. I had the pleasure to walk the course once and ill never do that again. Not that its hard to walk it but carrying the ammo from station to station gets old quickly. Good thing is thou as you shoot the bag gets lighter..
