    Default Magazine not seating properly?

My Kimber Pro Carry II came with a seven round magazine and it works fine. I didn't want to use it often because the follower can damage alloy frames, so I bought some extra magazines for it today. The first is Kimber's 8 round KimPro Tac Mag, and the second is Wilson Combat's 8 round ETM. When the KimPro is fully loaded with 8 rounds, it is extremely difficult to seat the magazine. When the ETM is fully loaded with 8 rounds it is a lot less difficult to seat than the KimPro, but still not effortless. Both magazines are effortless to seat when loaded with 7 rounds. The original 7 round magazine does not have trouble seating easily either. Do these new magazines need a break-in period, or do I have a problem? Thanks for any advice.

That's certainly not uncommon and they will likely loosen up with use. As long as the gun will run them at full capacity, I wouldn't worry much about it.
