Default Which is the better deal Shield 9 or Glock 43?

So I am on the fence.

I am buying one of these two pistols.

I have shot both. I like them both.
is there any real pros or cons against each?

The Glock has 1 round less per mag. Which is whatever really. I always carry an extra magazine anyways, so it wont much matter.

Price, the Shield is more then the 43 where I am going because I get a discount.

I have owned Glocks, and MP's in the past.

I currently have a Glock 19, I'll probably be getting a Glock 26 for my wife in January because she liked it the last time.

Has anyone here had one, and sold it to get the other? If so, why?

The 43 is in its first version, the shield has been out for about 2 years now. Issues have been worked out with the S&W. Either is a great choice. What is the price on the Shield? I think the LE43 is around $350.00 right? Thats right about where the shields are as far as i know.

If you can pickup a G43 for less than a shield, that's a hell of a deal. I think both would serve you very well.

Thanks, the Shield I found cheapest around here at $387, the 43 is $350 something with the Blue Label Discount.

Another key point, both pistols will be staying stock, no extras.

    That looks good!

The wife said no more guns yet. So maybe I'll "win" this one haha.

FYI tanners in Jamison has shields for $330 now I believe. Blue label on the glock is pretty nice though.

Up at Atlantic Tactical they had Sheilds for $319 and G43's for $358. I handled them both side by side. The sheild felt better in hand (I'm a Glock guy btw). That being said it was bigger than the 43 in just about every way and also noticeably heavier. I didn't think of the 7 vs 6 round argument since I could get a full grip on the Sheild but only 2 fingers on the G43 grip. I'd go with the G43 just because it's smaller and lighter weight.
