I just saw an article on my phone via channel 69 news app that

The Humane Society of Berks is waiving adoption fees this weekend.

June 26th (fri) to June 28th (sun)

All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Hours are fri 10 to 6:30 and sat and sun 10 to 4:30

I ended up rescuing a dog. Not from the humane society but PA boxer rescue. It was $350 but it went to a cause I support so it was worth it.

Good for you. We had 2 boxers in the extended family a while back.

I put a story on a thread here about my old buddy Rocky. She was a boxer rescue.

If you are looking for a hunting type dog don't let it slip that you are a hunter. The Humane society is known to deny you for that.
