laser for Springfield xdm

One of my new year's resolutions is to tighten up my groups.

I want to put a laser on my Springfield XDM. I'm thinking the Crimson Trace rail master (CMR-201) might be the one for me. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, is it easy to install? (I have average mechanical skills).

Additionally, I would like to get a trigger job done on this same gun. I really like my XDM, but I find the trigger pull a little too heavy. I see that Springfield Armory offers a trigger job for a couple hundred dollars. Would this be a good idea or are there better options?

I have a set on my xd-45/ Went on super easy. Will it give you better groups? That can be debatable forever.
