XDS Recall
A pain in the tail-end, but my XDS-9 is on its way back to Springfield Armory.
At least Springfield did a recall and is paying the FedEx, even if getting it shipped was a pain.
I got screwed by Glock on the POS G17 Gen4 they first put out.
Springfield +1

Re: XDS Recall
Mine's been in their shop for a week and a half now. Here's to hoping for a quick turnaround, but it'll probably take a month to get mine back.

Re: XDS Recall
I think I'll be buying an XDs 9mm soon and know about the recall and the serial numbers which are affected. My questions are,
1. Are LGSs required to send their affected XDs pistols to Springfield for repair?
2. Will the XDs pistols, which have been sent to Springfield for repair, come back with a special marking that they've indeed been repaired?Shooting is, as it has always been, the fabric of America!

Re: XDS Recall
Yes. If you go to the recall sight it shows the indicator for the upgrade, a small roll pin in the grip safety.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

Re: XDS Recall
Q10: I have made modifications to my XD-S™ with aftermarket parts. What will happen to these?
A10: Springfield will be putting the pistol back as if it were new from the factory. All aftermarket parts will be returned to the owner along with their pistol.Last edited by CHEMICAL; September 13th, 2013 at 07:02 PM.
