Ukraine 5.45 69gr

Figured I would share this for those of you who wish to leave your tins sealed. I paid about $250 shipped to my door for 1500 rounds. I look forward to getting out a range report but it may be at least 2 or 3 weeks till that happens.Last edited by ViperHummel; March 22nd, 2012 at 12:20 PM.

Re: Ukrane 5.45 69gr
just an update: I got my ammo already. It shipped from North Canton, Ohio. I had no idea. I was just out there this weekend! Maybe I'll pop in next time I visit my nieces and avoid shipping costs.

Re: Ukraine 5.45 69gr
Hey Viper, just to give you a warning. I shot 3 boxes of this stuff through my brand new Arsenal on Saturday. Let the gun sit until today, and when I checked it out I had rust flakes in the rear of the chamber and inside the gas tube. It may say it's non-corrosive, but I'm pretty sure it's corrosive.

Re: Ukraine 5.45 69gr
Thanks for the heads up. I read on another forum about it and some guy had the same issue. I contacted the website and they said the manufacture told them it was non-corrosive. So hopefully they look into it more b/c I cited the source. In the end they followed up the email with "we still advise all shooters to properly clean their weapons after shooting".
I also read that some of the KSAP 7.62x39 that came in was also corrosive despite it's claims. If I had a bullet puller I'd do the nail test or even just fire an empty case at untreated metal to find out.
Either way, 69gr ammo is still pretty awesome, if it means I should seal it back up and stockpile it I will. I can still trust silver bear and it's still under $300 for 1500 rounds..
