my new Kimber
Grand Raptor II it is a thing of beauty.............. can't wait to hit the range with it.
Had it on layaway for a 2 months, took it off just in time for Christmas.I think it goes nicely with my other 2 Kimber's...........

Re: my new Kimber
Beautiful Kimber's you got there, does it make you feel funny that one of them says SIS on it?? j/k

Re: my new Kimber
Very nice. The first picture alone was enough to make me drool, then I scrolled down.
Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.

Re: my new Kimber
Nope, I like that look.. Ever since I saw it on front of a Guns & Ammo magazine (think March 2008) I've wanted that gun. Happened to come across this one while doing a transfer for another gun.
It's a great shooting gun, the finish is a little slick/hard to get a grip on but other than that I love it. Fits in nicely with my other two.

Re: my new Kimber
what did you wind up paying for it? Im curious about the raptors cuz i think one is on my hit list soon after I dress up my AK.
Also curious about the grip on the...well.....grips. My kimber eclipse is nice, but the grips leave a bit to be desired as far as tactile feel and "grippy-ness" goes. The diamonds on the eclipse grips mess with my thumb grip, and your gun has no diamonds. The diamonds feel really smooth on the contact points of my hands.
How would you compare the front strap checkering to the SIS?Last edited by MicroMonkey; December 20th, 2011 at 05:13 AM.

Re: my new Kimber
When I bought my Kimber, I had the choice between the SIS and a Raptor. I choose the SIS. It was just after they stopped making them. It is my every day carry gun.
My next gun was going to be a Raptor. Now my wife is out of work I can only dream of one now. At least I got the SIS custom before the money dried up.The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.
