Remington 581 with new glass after 25+ Years
So I got an old Remington 581 from my father over a year ago. He has had ever since I could remember. Hanging in his office at home.
Atop it sat a Weaver V22-A scope. Not too sure on the magnification as the numbers on the dial have worn off over the 25+ years it has been around. But it is small as you can tell from the picture.
Well I have gone to the range with this rifle and have done fairly well with it. Albeit that the old Weaver scope is a blurry mess.
I took it upon myself to get a new scope for this old beauty. I decided to go with a BSA Sweet 22 (3-9x40). It arrived today!
First off the price was amazing at $39+ Shipping from SportsmansGuide. It is brand new and not used/refurbished. This is a tremendous upgrade from the old Weaver scope. I can actually see!

Haven't been able to test it yet, but will be doing so soon. Will come back to the thread with a range report when I do.
Enjoy
