Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right?
Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right? Which would you buy for overall CC and range gun? I have a Glock 19 that covers most of my needs. But I was wanting another CC gun. I like the feel of both of these Glock like pistols each has some advantages like the M&P grip feel and ergonomic and the XDM balance and it has it own ergonomics and 1911 feel sorta. Which has the best trigger and most accessories for it? Which would you choose?
I've thought about a compact Taurus either 24/7c or 809c but leaning more toward the XDMc r M&Pc. I even thought about G26 when they get a new order though I don't want a Gen 4 G26.

Re: Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right?
I don't have or have shot an M&P9C, but have shot an M&P9, and own a XDM40C. I shoot as well if not better with the XDM40C as with my G17 with a trigger mod, so I think that says something about the XDM. The trigger is totally sweet (I think it feels more robust and smooth than the M&P), and I like the sights on the XDM better than the M&P. Ergo on the M&P is probably better though. Tough call, I think they are about equal in accessories, with maybe a slight lean towards the XDs.

Re: Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right?
I recently held and fired both at French Creek when my buddy was looking. We both liked the M&Pc. It felt more solid. The XDsc's mag extension was loose and wobbly in my hand. Granted, it was a range loaner, so it could have been really old or something. I liked the trigger on the M&P too. I think they both shot equally well. They both have pretty large fan bases, so I doubt there's really a wrong choice here. You'll probably love either, just handle them both and see what fits best. Try all the available grips for them, as the one it wears in the case might not be the best fit for you.

I'm not a fan of either, but, love the Glock 30. Yes, it's "just another Glock", but the grip, being wider than that of a G26 or G27, is perfect for me. And, it's still easily concealable (though no "pocket gun"), very easy to be accurate with, and I like the .45 ACP round. May be worth a look.

Re: Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right?
I like Glock also but I was going to give these Brand a try to see if like them. What I'm finding is that I like different features on each the M&P's ergo and the XDM's sights and 1911 like combat feel. I like both pistols but I can't afford both so I'm trying to decided which one to get I'm leaning toward the XDm because its that much more different then my Glock 19 which I adore for what it is a fighting pistol. Should I get a safety on XDm or M&P, I like safeties on my 92/96s and 1911s. Just wondering.

When I was first looking for a gun, I tried out several different models at different times and loved the M&P 9mmC from the very first. It is my carry piece today (CC). Even my son-in-law, who owns several firearms of various types was impressed with it. I have tried the XD, and while I like it, I like the M&P much better.

Between the M&P and the XD. I like the M&P grip and trigger better. The XD also seem to have a higher bore access and more felt recoil.
However.
In the 9mm compact category I'm looking at the flatter single stack 9mm guns like the Kahr CW&P9 Walther PPS Kel-Tec PF-9, and Ruger LC9. vs. the compact versions of full size Glocks, M&P and XD pistols that are not any thinner and that is a concern for me.
I have ruled out the Walter and Ruger because you can only get them with legislated safety features. I'm leaning toward one of the Kahr pistols as they feel better in my hand are seem to be of higher quality.

Re: Of these two pistol the M&PC and XDMC which feels right?
I ordered an M&Pc9 in large part due to the feel of the grip. I'm a lefty so the ambidextrous safety and slide lock were factors. None of the Glocks I handled felt right in my grip. If the M&P shoots as well as it feels I'll get a full sized one for the range.

I would say either one if that's what you want. I would probably pick up the M&P just because it's not made in Croatia. I shoot IDPA and I would say they both fail about the same, maybe a little more XD's than M&P's. I would take a Gen3 G26 over both. Probably cheaper and way more reliable. I know people are going to say I shot a million rounds with my M&P or XD without a problem but on average they are not as reliable as a Gen3 Glock. If they were that great you wouldn't see the majority of competitive shooters using Glocks. I'm not saying either one of these guns is a bad choice, they are both excellent guns but they are not a Glock.
