Smile Another one followed me home

Stopped in at the local Dunhams to waste some time while the wife was shopping elsewhere. I figured I'd go fondle some of their WASR's and maybe look for an underfolder. Standing at the counter and looking at the case I spied 2 different one's. 2 AMD 65's. I better look at them I said to the clueless girl behind the counter. First one had a canted gas tube, second one didn't. Check the price $699. Gulp. But wait, there's another price sticker on it that say's "In Store Special $449" That's when I reached for the wallet.
TGI built on a FEG receiver. Tapco trigger and 1mag. Side folding wire stock. Can't wait to go shoot it. Seems to be good quality, nicer than the Romanians

I picked up a TGI AMD 65 with the wood grips back in 08. Had a good build to it but I quickly shelved it as I really, really disliked the wire stock. They made another model with a wood stock that I would have jumped on but it didn't stick around long.

Out of all my AKs its the one I show the least love to. The flash effect with the break is pretty cool though.

I had one I paid about that price it is a great ak type rifle. I didn't however like that it cant use standard ak furniture and (go head call me a baby) it wasnt as pleasent to shoot with that wire as my other ak's and sks's

Thumbs up Re: Another one followed me home

Dunhams has had a TON of those, since they ran out of Yugo M70's a couple years back. The range report will be interesting to hear!

The TGI built AMDs are very nice. Congrats on a nice buy
