Default Ruger p94: Pin bassed magazines

I have had a Ruger p94 9mm. I have had it for about 6 years. I have never disassembled the magazines to clean them. The rason for that is that these are different magazines. These are pin-based 10 round magazines that have a pin the goes from one side of the mags and out the other. Any owners of ruger p94, 10 round mags here know what i am talking about. I have asked a number of people if they know how to disassemble these. Many people have trie dto explain to me online but i am afraid i might damage the mags . If any of you have these and know how to take these down, please explain to me. IF any f you have a camera, i would greatly appreciate if you could take a few... just a few photos to explain. I know i am asking alot here, but this would help me a great deal. Thanks alot.

The pin above the plastic baseplate is a roll pin, you need a drive pin or roll pin punch a hair smaller in diameter than the pin, cheap sets are usually availabe in discount stores (Harbor Freight) or better sets at Sears or automotive parts stores. Make sure you use a roll or pin punch, not a tapered drift or alignment punch.

Once you have your punch, lay the mag down on the end of a thick phone book so the pin will have room to come out without hitting the table. Then just tap the pin out, remove the punch and take out the baseplate, spring and follower.

Sorry, that's as best as I can explain it, it really is pretty simple once you have the correct punch, you may need someone to help you hold it down or if you have a vise with soft jaw pads you may try using it, but I'd go with doing it on the table using a book. You should not have to hit the pin so hard that it will damage the magazine.

Oh, and I see you say you are in Asia, but CDNN has Mec-Gar mags, 15 rnds for $23.99 if they are legal for you.
