Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Thanks. Been busy lately. New house has Radon, so that has to be remediated. Thankfully there's a pipe in place (I would not call it a passive system.)

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
If you are looking for a good club to join check out Hopewell Fish and Game. They are located just off of Route 851 just south of Stewartstown. I am the webmaster for their website. www.hopewellfg2.com
In order to become a member you must attend a new member meeting to start the process. They require new members to put in 16 hours of work per year for the first 5 years. Membership fees are currently $70 per year. They have a very nice range.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
I belong to York & Adams Game & fish Assoc. Decent facilities they are big into trap & skeet & I shoot on the pistol team which is in the William Penn Pistol league. Dues are reasonable good folks, about 40 mins from Shrewsbury.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Welcome to the area. I live outside of New Park, not particularly close to anything. There are a number of good clubs in the area. Dues, initiation fees and mandated range work vary considerably.
Gun Bunker is a good place. A couple of other shops in the region as well. You'll find living in an area where people are relaxed, crime is fairly rare and a state where you aren't given a hassle for owning black guns or handguns a nice change.
Oh yeah, our taxes are a fraction of Maryland's (other than the school taxes).

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
So I bought the house, slowly moving in. Thanks for the updates. I'll be settled within a week.
Now to figure out who my reps are.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Welcome back to Pa. I found that York County was very painless when getting my LTCF. In addition, there are a bunch of hunters and pro-gun folks. If you need anything, just ask.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Welcome to Shrewsbury! I moved here from Maryland as well (a little over a year ago) and am very happy. Found a club yet?

Welcome! I've lived in York Co and Carrol Co in my lifetime also.
Freedom Armory in Glen Rock won't be far for you to check out. I think the rates are a little high but it's worth the look.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Welcome! 20 years in southern Chester Co, four in State College, and twenty more here in York County. I won't be leaving any time soon, and I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do. People are nice, taxes are low(er), there's plenty of space, and nobody bothers you when you exercise your freedoms!
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

Re: Moving to Shrewsbury
Well I'm settled in. Need to switch the DL first (that'll be done Thursday, I think) and then I'll apply for LTCF (you still need *references*? I thought that was over & done with) and maybe think about finishing my AR.
Are there any meetups soon? If not maybe I'll schedule one.
