Does anyone know of a good outdoor, not so crowded public range near or around shrewbury? Please let me know, thanks!

The only public range in York is in Rossville which isn't near Shrewsbury at all. I don't think there are any other public ranges near you.

PGC Ranges are free. From what I hear they can get pretty crowded.

There are several private ranges near enough to Shrewsbury.
Jefferson Sportsman club is where I shoot and it's only 20 minutes away. And the last few times I was there I had the whole club to myself; granted that is around noon on weekdays.

There is also Seitzland right off Ingham rd in New Freedom.

There is the IWLA range off exit 10 from 83. I'm sure there are a few more with in reason but those 3 are the closest I know of.

Jefferson runs $50 a year, heck of a bargain, especially if you look at what Freedom Armory charges.

You could try York Rifleman. You'll need a sponser but they meet the second Tues of the month, maybe you find someone that'd be willing.

    Either...

I found a listing for this one, but their site is pretty old. Not sure if they're still active. I don't know any members, but am going to see if they'd be open to letting me join. Supposedly they have meetings first Monday of the month. (Which would be today.) But that info is from 2009.
