Welcome, RWilson! If it wasn't for the job, my husband and I would probably be living in Tioga County, too. He's up there right now, just outside of Wellsboro, for opening day. I believe there are a few more folks from your area on this forum. Enjoy!!

Odd thing is I have a sister not far from you, Waynesboro.
As for opening day. Yep big deal here I I'm home sick with a cold or I would be in bed getting a bit of sleep and be out on the farm around 6 waiting for sunrise.

Take US 15 north. when you run out of state you run out of the county.

Georgeous part of the state! I would love to be able to retire up there when the time comes. Maybe a little NW of Wellsboro. You are a lucky man!

Some folks come here to retire and find they miss the large metro area. From my house the nearest wallmart is a 25 min drive on a good day. If we just had a snow storm, go another. day. Yes it is great to look out my window at the hills. We have a great Rod and gun club but the down side is no indoor shooting facility. What can you expect for $10/year membership? Free rifle and pistol, $2.50 For trap and skeet. Shoooting is restricted to 8am till sunset.

Hey Billamj! My mom lives in a cabin outside of Wellsboro. It's sits right on top of a mountain peak and the state gamelands border the right side and back of her property. If she ever decides to sell it, I'll let you know. LOL

Hi RWilson, My wife is from Tioga & we try & visit back there as often as we can. Maybe we will be there next July with luck. Most of her family still live around the Tioga/Lawrenceville area.
