Ventrilo is a proprietary Voice over Internet Protocol program with clients for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Most users of Ventrilo use a headset or microphone and use the program to talk to each other, similar to a telephone conference call. Ventrilo is often used by multiplayer video game players.

Problem is getting people to use it enough for it to warrant existing. The chat we had lasted for a bit but really faded out over time.

yeah, I've used it while gaming, but I can't see just sitting down to a ventrillo chat.
