Default Resizing Pics to Post

Okay, I'm a dummy. What are the steps to resizing pics to get them to the right size to post on the site? I don't do this type of work (resizing photos) normally. If there has been a thread about this please direct me to it so that I don't take up peoples valuable time. Thanks for the assist.

Thanks all for the assist. This should help me in the future when posting. Maybe now I'll be able to show some of my stuff too.

As you can see from my avatar, I think I've got it. Again thanks to all who replied and got me on track. The avatar might change, I haven't decided on the exact one yet.

I'll look at it again later, because I'd like to figure that out too, instead of posting photobucket images that take up the entire screen...

Note that the pics load fast, and enlarge when clicked. If this is what you want, you'll need the code.
