Default Deleting a thread/post

Just messed up posting one and I swear I used to know how to delete them, but I click the edit button but there is no option to delete...any help??

Click the Edit button, then click the "Go Advanced" button; there will be option to delete the post.

tried that too...only gives me option to save/preview changes...if I erase everything and click save it says there needs to be at least 10 characters.

You don't get a Delete button when trying to delete a post? Is it the first post of a thread? Maybe those can't be deleted?

It appears that regular users cannot delete the first post of a thread.

You can delete your thread as long as it is in the first few minutes after you post it. The option (under advanced edit) disappears after several minutes. You cn also change the title in the same manner, but only for several minutes after you hit the submit button.
