Can I kill the rabbits, that damage my crop?
Subj.
Those little motherlovers ate shit load of straberries yesterday. I will force the garden fence further, but is it legal to kill them with (let's say) throwing knife on my property and if yes, then do I need hunting license to do that? I am not going to use any of the firearms, since it's within residental area.Last edited by Metz; May 13th, 2010 at 09:49 AM.

Re: Can I kill those f*** rabbits, that damage my crop?
You are going to get banned for the use of F*** in your heading, you should change it ASAP
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Pick up a BB/pellet gun @ Wally World. They're quiet and the Beeman comes with two barrels and a dead-on scope all for around a hundred bucks. I used to have a chipmunk problem.

I second the BBgun ! If in an area that has nosey nieghbors, just be discreet about it.......One thing I like about where I live, pesky rabbit or ground hog, out comes the .22, then shovel and all is quiet and peaceful once again. Out here its quite normal to hear a .22 or even a shotgun being fired on occasion. Nobody bats an eyelash.

You may want to check and see if you need something like a farmer's permit.
I am not 100% familiar, but check here.

PA Game Commission will tell you what you can and can't do.
Just killing the animals is not a good idea. There are game codes etc.
If you are allowed to kill or trap them you may find some one who eats rabbit meat.
Also, sometimes trappers will be more than happy to help you out again depending on season game code etc..Last edited by thefirstndsecond; May 13th, 2010 at 09:58 AM.

yeah you can't kill or trap them out of season and there is no hunting allowed with an air rifle in PA.
Hypothetically if someone didn't live in PA and were to use a pellet gun it would hypothetically work very well for eliminating small game that would be eating their imaginary crops. But in PA that would be illegal and you should never do that!
I've never heard of a red tag permit for rabbits...The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

I live in a residential neighborhood as well. I have a BB gun, but for those stealth missions, my instrument if death is the 60" Cold Steel .62 Caliber. Razor tipped darts are a must for the intimidation factor.
