Default 870 Customizing - Need Opinions

I photoshopped this and I'm wondering if it looks silly to anyone else? I want to put an A2 fixed stock on a Mesa Tactical high tube adapter with a sniper rifle panther grip. I'm probably going to do it anyway because I love the Panther grip but I'm curious if anyone else would ever do something like this with a shotgun. Thoughts?

Whatever floats your boat. Im old fashioned and like the regular stock. I've a Remmy with a pistol grip and just want comfortable to shoot. How much would something like that run you?

It's all going to end up a bit over $200 but I think it will be worth it. I really like the fixed stock that Benelli shotguns have and Mesa Tactical has been talking about a pistol grip stock for a while but I don't want to wait anymore. This is even better though because it has the rail and mounting point for shell carriers on both sides or a single point sling if I decide to use one. I had a Hogue pistol grip in my avatar and I liked it but the 870 has so many options that I like to make a change once in a while. I do like the regular wooden stocks but I want to have one bad ass tactical 870 and maybe another with the classy, wooden look.

I like the a2 pistol grip stock on shotguns..alot more than a telescoping stock anyway..

but I've been in the police magnum sort of mood ever since I saw this..

Yeah . . . I want that gun. I would trade my Hogue forend in for one of those Remington Police forends any day. I like the vertical serrations much better than the Hogue's pebble texture for both feel and look. I used to have a fancy wooden stock on my 870 but I replaced it and sold it. Maybe someday I'll buy another one and leave the wood set on. I love the 870. I wish the 1187 had this many different looks.

Looks like its going to end up being bulky. I don't know what your goal is for it. But that is probably the polar opposite of what I would like. Mainly that grip. But its your shotgun. Do what you like.
