    Red face Sleep Walker

Need some advice. I have been a CC for a couple of years, and I am comfortable with carring one in the Chamber. Every Night before I go to bed I do two things Kiss my wife, and put my XD in my gun Safe next to my bed. I also dechamber the round. I have been a sleep walker my whole life, to an extreme I know some of you have also been but I'm a bit more the the avg. (ex. I once woke up fully dressed sitting in my car with the keys in my hand) (and no I wasn't drunk) I have done everything under the sun while sleeping including attacking my wife who I thought was an intruder. While I hate to dechamber a round continuly I rotate them through my mag as to hopefully avoid pressing the bullet down the shell. I just don't want to have an epsiode where I get up punch in the pass code and grab my piece while I'm out. I have been epsiode free for a couple of months but still hesitant on keeping it loaded. Any suggestions?

    Thanks again

I'd be worried that you could still chamber a round while you're sleep walking.

Have you considered mounting an alarm in your safe? You could use a simple window alarm. It would wake you and/or your wife up.

No problem. My uncle fell down his basement stairs while sleep walking. So he put one of those on the door. If you're sleep walking out of the house, you may want to consider putting them on all your doors.

That's not a bad idea for a cheap burglary system too.
