    Default BOHICA .50bmg

I was looking for ideas to build some custom AR-15s when I came across the 30" Bohica .50bmg AR-15 upper Factory direct for $1395.
Does anyone have any experience with this gun/company? are any of the AR .50 uppers worth the price or should I save up for a Grizzly .50 or other single shot?

Save up for a Bushmaster BA50 bolt-action. It has a detachable mag. We had a customer purchase the Bohica and he was kicking himself for not getting the Bushmaster we had in the shop. Should be able to get the Bushmaster for around $4000.

    Just my $0.02.

I have a friend that has a BOHICA and has had nothing but problems with it. The action will not fully close on it when on a lower. It was also not headspaced correctly from new.

I'm not sure what BOHICA has done if anything to make right on it.

On a side note I personally have an AR50 from Armalite that I really am happy with.

I have shot the Barrett M107 and made some really good hits out at over 1 mile with them on military ranges.

As Fazer6PA mentioned the Bushmasters are a real nice gun that I would consider if I didn't already have my AR50.

Something to consider is ammo. If your just looking to shoot surplus then any of them are good choices. The semi-auto guns like the Barrett are not recommended to shoot non-crimped reloads. The tips can get pushed in either during recoil or from the action cycling causing powder to spill into the action.
