I think an org needs to notify every two in pa that creating ordinances like this is against the law. Pro active is better. I can afford the postage but I will gladly assist in writing the letters. Cease fire and the mayors group is actively feeding taps this type of bull and they are eating it.

Sorry, I tried to streamline it a bit for posting. Below are both links. The public notice is obviously very vague so I had to dig through their site to find the appropriate information.

    Arguments for those going.

    1) Tom Corbett, Attorney General and top cop, says it is illegal for local towns to pass local gun laws.
    2) Only State of PA legislatures have the right to pass this law, and they haven't.
    3) Any solicitor who can read knows it is illegal to pass.
    4) Radnor, Hatboro, Swarthmore and others, after investigating, tabled it.
    5) It makes the possible VICTIM of a crime defend him/herself.
    6) Current laws on the books serve to answer these issues.

Public Notice confirming ordinance was passed:

Text of the ordinance changes: (Pages 4-5)

Can someone clarify if this part is illegal also?
    From Cheltenham's Municipal Code (Online):

    Chapter 143-3:

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry any air rifle, firearm or bow on the highways or public lands in the township unless it is unloaded and in a suitable case or securely wrapped.

Sure seems to be regulating the possession and transportation of firearms.

Good catch. That's definitely very troubling and needs to be looked into.
