    Default LA BuyBack Program

    http://www.oclnn.com/orange-county/2...uyback-program

“This was an anonymous, guilt-free turning in of weapons,” Beck said. “We do not ask who brought these guns in, nor do we care. It was enough to get these guns off the street.”

hope no one got there guns stolen in order to get gift cards! woohoo!

"Those turning in assault weapons received gift cards worth $200, while those who gave up handguns, shotguns and rifles got $100 cards."

WOW! What a hell of a deal! i could trade my Glocks in for $100 bucks! YESSSS! O and my semi-auto "assault" rifle (ak) for $200, man i wish i lived over there

"The weapons included 1,216 handguns, 747 rifles, 463 shotguns, 85 assault weapons and a grenade launcher."

    Really?

There should be a Federal law against the intentional destruction of valuable goods. Its such a waste of resources.

It would make more sense to allow gun dealers to run the buy back programs and put those guns in the hands of responsible Americans. They could call it the "adopt a gun" program.

I understand your frustration at the destruction of these firearms, but are you certain that making it illegal to destroy valuable goods would be the correct solution?

If you really look at it, the type thing you are proposing is the heart of the problem to begin with, not the solution.

I see you point. There should to be some way to stop this by "government" of valuable goods. Its just not right.

$100 says it was a 37mm Flare Launcher. They look identical to an M203. No media weenie and many cops arent going to know the difference. The same thing was just reported about here in NJ over the winter about the guy that was AWOL from the Navy and caught in a convienience store with a Beowulf uppered Bushmaster under his coat. When they inventoried his motel room they found a bunch of other go bang goodies, including what was reported by POLICE sources to be a grenade launcher when it wasnt

CAM & CO had a pod cast about Cali.

The buy back program had no account of where the guns came from.

People interviewed simply said they needed money for rent.

THINGS ARE REALLY REALLY BAD IN CALI.

The second just about doesn't exist anymore.

Wouldn't be the first time such was reported. The ignorance of the MSM never ceases to amaze me. I mean, I'm not saying everyone needs to be an expert on firearms... but if you are writing a news article up, it kinda DOES matter what weapon was used. AR-47's(ak-47), grenade launchers(37mm), explosives(firecrackers), bomb making materials(toilet bowl cleaner and some tin foil, and a propane tank), automatic assault rifle - aka machine gun(ar-15), deadly cop-killing-armor-piercing pistol(FN FiveSeven)... etc.
