Re: LA BuyBack Program
You just can't trust cops or governement because you never know what you will get:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100516/...a_parole_sting
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Dozens of California parole violators showed up to claim a very attractive offer: $200 and amnesty. And dozens of parole violators found themselves in handcuffs and, for most, headed back to prison.
As an account I hear of various tax-amnesty programs... I'll be damned if I ever recommend one to anyone. It could be another "sting".Last edited by tsafa; May 17th, 2010 at 04:57 PM.

Re: LA BuyBack Program
I agree with your sentiment tsafa, I'm all for getting and keeping criminals off the streets, but if the officials are willing to stoop to lying so blatantly once, what's to say they won't do it again for lesser reasons?
That immediately reminded me of a Ronald Reagan quote:
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'"
I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

Re: LA BuyBack Program
Maybe I/We missed something else.
Once the buyback in done, wouldn't the "smarter" criminals in the area say.
"There is now a whole bunch of unarmed people in the area, who are now E-Z pickings.
Sorta like the Katrina thing. All though that was a travesty and a shame.

Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.
