M&P 45
I made a thread about which 9mm I should buy and it just confirmed my decision of going with the M&P, next I'm going to purchase a 45 and I figure why not go with the M&P in 45 since I love the 9. I'll be shooting one soon but does anyone have experience with one positive or negative?

Re: M&P 45
Aslong as you have shot the M&P and found it the best for you, I'd say hell yeah get the .45 M&P.
They will both work and feel(except recoil) the same more or less. . .

Re: M&P 45
I'd be getting the full size version and most like the the flat earth one.

Re: M&P 45
I had one for about a year. Actually, I had two of them: first with the thumb safety, then without. No problems with either one.

Re: M&P 45
I had one for about a year and half, and sold it to buy the wife a M&P9c.
It is on the short list of pistols that I will buy again / wish I hadn't sold. Excellent feel, great controls and a really smooth shooting gun once you wear the trigger in / have a trigger job done.
If you like the feel of the 9, you'll like the 45. There are 3 sizes of it. The full size, a 4" barrel, and a compact. I owned the full sized one, and would recommend buying the 4" length.

Re: M&P 45
Not exactly.
M&P45 is slightly bigger in all dementions.
most is unnoticable, except grip length(front to back). You can definatly feel the difference.
Also, while S&W maintains that trigger pull weight is same between two. It is NOT the same weight. my M&P9's trigger break at 5.7lbs, while my M&PP45's trigger broke at 9.4lbs.
Easy fix. just send your weapon to http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/, and get their standard trigger job, and thank me laterAudemus jura nostra defendere
