Default Refinished my Marlin 35 rem stock

    Well,

I got the ok to finish a rifle my father handed down. Our Marlin 336 35 Rem. This is the first time I have tried this so go easy....

The stock had turned yellow and was peeling.

I refinished the stock and fore grip using the guidance of a friend and a youtube video.

I used the orange gel from Lowes to remove the original finish.

Then I used Krud Cutter to get all of the oil and orange gel off.

I used Birchwood Casey Walnut Stain and Tru Oil.

At first I used a shirt to put on the true oil. I was getting more oil in the shirt than on the stock.

I then started using my finger.

That is funny, what kind of scope is that on yours?

I am happy with the way the stock and fore-grip turned out.

The hardest part was keeping the dust off the drying tru oil.

My problem was keeping my son's hands off it, LOL. Scope is a Tasco 3x9.
