Thumbs up Positive at Tobyhanna Range

Did some shooting Saturday then proceeded to pick up targets and garbage,a shooter named Nick showed up and asked if I worked at the range because of the two bags of garbage I collected ,I informed him I like to bring family there to shoot and would want it clean for me just like the next guy,He had a S&W 6906 not familiar with it except to load magazine,he actually asked for assistance how he was holding and shooting, after an hour or so I said do you know how to break down the gun and did not have a clue,I proceeded break down slide mag etc,by the time we left he was confident on the more than basics he needed to know,I feel sharing my knowledge when asked only resulted in a POSITIVE encounter, far from the one with the Old man jackass in the red pickup truck !

I hear lots of bad storys about SGL ranges, but i too have had some positive times at the tobyhanna range, just about every time i go i meet a PAFOA board member or just some real nice people, last sunday i was teaching a collage exchange student i know how to shoot some of my rifles and i met site member mieshaburns, who seems to be a real nice guy, but i have never seen the goat bearded old man yet.

I've just move not long ago.
    How is this range?
Meaning is it public or private. It would be nice to have a place close by I could go to and shoot a few rounds off. Normally I drive a few hours to shoot with friends near St. Clairs. Are there other places (in Monroe) that I should look into as well?

    Sorry for all the questions.

I ran into some off of here looking for this range today.
They had a big PAFOA sign in the back window of the car.

I stopped by this morning to test the AA piston I installed on the S&W AR15.

Nice, quiet and clean. Only 4 other people besides myself.

Very nice day. It looks like it's my new sunday morning stop.

Nice picture, looks like the grass is filling in, not such a mud hole anymore. I haven't been there all Summer.

Is this range on 611 or Warnertown RD? near the 380 exit.
