Mikes Pizza in Mount Effort

Vincents is an old staple for us local to the area, but they've become really inconsistant since the new owner took over. It seems like every other time we order a pie the cheese is still white and the pizza is under cooked.. Like they rushed to get the pizza out. And let's be honest, it's not like vincents is slammed like it used to be. It's been like this for a long time, way before the new Mikes location opened. So I don't know what the excuse is for that.

I have been going to Vincents for sixteen years and the big problem was when the market burned down a few years back, the place has never been the same since. They have changed pizza makers a number of times and apparently the new owner has rules that all of the workers have to follow. It's been pretty stable recently I hope that it continues.

Pizza girl is ok, but they don't use the good cheese.

If anyone like really thin crust the this place is great but a little pricey. Also right next to a starbuck's so you can get a cup of joe afterwards.

I've been meaning to go in there for a while now. Perhaps I'll check it out this weekend.

It just shocks the hell out of me that nobody in this corner of the state is using an anthracite oven...I mean, really...

When Pete and his brother owned it their food was good. The new owner used to work for them, and when pete's brother died, Pete sold to him. The new owner is not making the food the same way, he is cutting back on fresh ingredients and he is rushing the food out.

When I moved from Monroe county I still tried to make it back for his food, then when I tried it several months ago Is when i decieded I would never go there again.

You may be on to something- the original Mike's Pizza-Brodheadsville( Mike's Pizzeria Restaurant Inc) is not the same as Mike's Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant in Mt Effort- that was registered on 4/24/2009. Looks like a front to me

It is absolutely the same Mike and I sat in front of him at the township meeting on 10/5 as he is working on getting his beer license.
The plaza owners had originally wanted to do their own Italian restaurant but decided to rent to Mike.
