Picked up a H&R 923, tell me about it.
Saw this gem in the back of my local shops case, the owner had gotten it in on a trade the day before and he didn't even have a chance to clean it. I did some haggling and walked out with her. Only have been able to put 9 rounds through her with no issues. Action is tight, chrome is a little rough but good for its age, bore is nice, and trigger pull is crisp.
"L" serial number, which I gather is a 1951 code.
I've been able to find tons of info on the 922 but not so much on the 923 in regards to value.
Thoughts?
With the 622
With the P3AT (Chem Kills)

I don't think that is chrome, it should be nickel plated.
If I remember correctly the 923 was made from 1950 to 1982. L would be 1951. Barrel lengths available were 2.5", 4", and 6". I'm gonna guess the max value for a 923 in mint condition to be about $150, with yours being somewhere around $100-120 with what I can see.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Thanks for all the help guys!
I thought I heard that the way early H&R's were actually chromed as opposed to the newer models which are nickel plated. Is there a way to check for sure?
