YOUR Longest Confirmed shot??

No bs here folks (of course we would never...right??) i'd like to know what the longest confirmed shot people have made on here. either rifle or pistol, but i imagine rifle having longer ranges

, my personal best was while hunting, rangefinder said 525yards. and it was confirmed by a 4x4 rack on my wall.. and yours?

980 meters, lased, on a 12"x14" steel target with my Serbu BFG50 bolt action 50BMG.
First shot out of a cold barrel, i was pretty impressed with myself, then missed the next 2, and hit with 2 more over the day.

other than that, I havent shot at a place with sufficient distance to have real fun.

I'd love to hit a 2Km range with a 50 and incendiary ammo to see what I can hit.

I don't get many opportunities to take long shots.

My longest was last year on a groundhog with a Rem 700 .243 at a paced off 306 yards.

I took out a fly at 50 yards with my .22 target rifle. There wasn't anything left but a bloody splat on the paper.

No bs, that is my longest confirmed kill.

well.....can't really confirm distance....Farmer says his field is 1/4 mile long, G-Hog was about 2/3 of field, we figure around 300 yds. One hell of a headache, LOL

I've done that. I have a 4-12X scope on my Marlin 880 and it was cranked up to 12. There's no way I could have done it on lower power or with open sights.

Groundhog somwhere out between 300-400 yds with a Ruger .204 and a serious peice of glass on it...

The owner said he got some over in the far corner from where we were, its about 500 yds that way. I know this much that rifle is one serious groundhog dispatching machine

About a week ago I launched a golf ball about 250 yards with my SKS... it hit EXACTLY where I wanted it to. The ground.
FORE!

Other than that, I generally shoot it at the 100 yard range when using live rounds. We do have a 300 yd. range at our club, but I can't even SEE a target at that range and scopes are for pansies.

Just kidding about the pansy thing! (sorta)

confirmed shot, 500 yards, steel plate, .30-06 146 grain tracer
confirmed kill, 350 yards, groundhog, .30-06, 110 grain V-max

both with a $250 Mossberg 100ATR.

50 yards with my ruger flat top .357, offhand. Had that turkey been alive and not a pcture of one, he would be mounted on my fridge instead of a picture of a dead turkey. beat that! lol j/k.
