. My "take" on it is that if we have the ARpistol lower in our legal possession, then it is okay to have the uppers. The interchangeable uppers shouldn't make us into criminals! I ordered an AR pistol lower a month ago, and as I write the FFL/store didn't get it in. I own AR15 rifles. My cover/defense would be that the lower for the ARpistol uppers is on its way. Hope they don't come pounding on the door this a.m.! This is their example of convoluted "laws" that if we don't walk their fine line, WE WILL BE ARRESTED! Your defense will likely get you less jail time, and a nice fine.

Don't advocate having pistol uppers, without the pistol lower in one's possession, if one also possesses AR rifles.

It is not the PAFOA way!

If you register it as a pistol, you can make a rifle out of it too......as long as the barrel is 16"

Of course not! I have no desire to even have a short barrel rifle. The AR pistol appeal to me is that Stag Arms makes a left handed version. Nine tenths of the law? Definitely don't want to be a law breaker after all of these years of being a "good citizen". Remember Bill Clinton's 1994 crime bill, also known as the "assault weapons ban". How many of us still had 30 round mags? Along with other items like the folding stocks? Then again, I can take the upper to my family member's house. He doesn't own any AR 15 rifles, so the uppers will merely be "parts". Then when my Firearm dealer gets the AR pistol lower in, I'll go and get the uppers back.
