Taurus 44 Tracker opinions?

I just bought a Taurus 44 tracker. I haven't had much of a chance to shoot is so far (just a half box of .44 magnum to try it out). I plan on shooting it in a bit after my next pay day, but I'm also interested in how others have fared shooting them.

(Yes, I'll post a picture of it once I have a few minutes).

Opinions of all sorts requested.

Thank Nyman for the reminder to check past posts. I didn't see much about the .44 model which I just got. I'll jump over to the Taurus forum to look there.

I really want to put a couple of hundred rounds of .44 mag thru mine to see if it will smooth up, but not sure my hands will last to make it thanks to the recoil. The porting does reduce muzzle flip, but my ring finger keeps hitting the lower part of the trigger guard and it hurts after a while. Shooting .44 specials on the other hand are like shooting .38 wadcutters. I think I'll find a box of magnums at Mallwart (need the brass anyway for reloading), and shoot a couple of hundred of my other .44 ammo (Specials and Russian) through the gun to break it in and smooth out that trigger which is still just a bit clunky feeling to me (I really do like a well broke in action on S & Ws). I want to see how it stacks up as a shooter as well with different kinds of ammo.

Can't comment on the 44, but I got a Tracker in 357 about 10 years ago and haven't had any issues with it.
