There is Muddy Run over in Lancaster county right off 372. Also along there is Tucquan just north of 372.

I'd let ya camp in my back yard but I don't think the neighbors would like it.
Just a note, if you like to say up til all hours watching a campfire as I do, Muddy Run isn't the place to go. They enforce fires out by 1:00 am. Tucquan doesn't care as long as you are watching. And beer is prohibited at muddy run but not at Tucquan.

Thanks. Just trying to avoid paying half of what I do for a hotel room to sleep in the woods. Also not a fan of people. I do like beer and fire though...well who doesn't?

Re: Looking for a place to do some light camping
There's Indian Rock Campground which is kind of between Spring Garden Township and New Salem. I haven't been there yet, so I can't recommend it - just saying it's there.
From a quick search, the going rates seem to be between $15 and $35 a night - of course the more amenities there are the higher the price. I also used to camp at Cunningham Falls in MD, but that's quite a hike from here... If you find any more, post it up here....I'm kind of on the search, too, and prefer the type of place where it's just tents and not many people....
