    Default CC in PA casinos

I like going there every now and then, but "no gun" signs inside leave me somewhat discombobulated. So my question is - if a law abiding PA LTCF holder will actually break the law if he will CC there.

    Thanks.

As knight said it in this thread: http://forum.pafoa.org/general-2/393...forceable.html

There is no penalty for the Casino prohibition. If they catch you more than likely you will be asked to leave, if you fail to leave or remove your gun from the premises - expect a misdemeanor to felony arrest.

Its your choice.. Either abide by the regulation and have no legal worries. Or carry and risk being thrown out, banned from the premises, cited for trespassing, spend night in jail, court - depending on what kind of mood they are in and how much problems you give them.
If it is noticed, you will most likely be asked to leave the premises. If you refuse to comply, or escalate the situation, you are pushing trespass charges.

There's no law against carrying in a casino. But you would be trespassing. Since you've admitted on a public forum that you know there are "no gun" signs.
It's private property and you have to follow the rules of property owners. If there were no signs, or you didn't notice any signs, you could CC there and all they could do is ask you to leave. This is typical of any private property, stores, malls, restaurants, etc.

Well, this was just one casino and the "gun" line was among other zillion lines on that sign behing the cashier. I did not notice it in other casinos that I go to. Maybe I did not look close enough. Should I keep browsing for the sign, or consider that "it's ok until otherwise instructed"?

Anyway, thanks to both of you.

My brother works at the Sands in Bethlehem and he confirmed the policy is 'no guns'. Also, the PSP has an office on-site with a bunch of plain clothes walking the floor.

Pa code requires every casino to establish a policy whereby the PSP contingent is notified immediately when anyone if found with a firearm (058 Pa Code 465a.11(b)(5)(ix)).

If discovered you will be met by the PSP and you could be prosecuted for trespass based on the posted signage.

I have never, ever heard, read or seen where someone was arrested for "trespass" based on a sign that says "no guns".......or no running, no smoking, etc.

You will be told to leave. Refuse, and then you are trespassing.

The issue whether ingress contrary to posted conditions of entry constitutes trespass has most recently been thrashed out here.

Are you saying that its never been applied in your experience or that its not enforceable (cites?)?
