    Question Highpoint 9mm rifle

I traded a 1990 chevy vav with 125,ooo miles on it for a 9mm highpoint, the van needed about a thousand dollars worth of work. did I do the right thing or not. should I get rid of it or not. Do I trust it or not. never shot one. Are they any good or not. Let me know. Thanks SKULL446

Never had one but from people I know who have them say they are worth the money...low end but have never heard anything bad. All say they function fine. I think your safe IMO A hard day at the range will answer your question!

I have a Hi-point 995 (9mm) and I like it. It shoots nice and is a fun cheap plinker. It's a short range firearm (less than 100 yds for me) and groups well with my handloads. I paid $179 for it brand new so I hope you didn't think you were getting a "higher priced" carbine for your trade.

Either way - Nice little gun and a fun toy. Shoot, enjoy and have a blast with it.

I had a highpoint C9 9mm pistol just for plinking and to see what their all about it was a good shooter but I traded it in for a deposit on something else not a bad move but if the van was on its last leg

Hopefully you didn't value the van at more than $200. You can get a new Hi Point 995 carbine for a little less than that.

They are fun little guns. Cheaply made, but fun.

theres many junk yards that if you can drive your vehicle into their lot will give you an automatic $300 or 350 for your scrap vehicle, so.........no. lol.

you could of scraped it, bought the carbine, and had a 100 left over.

    ^THIS

Should have sold it for scrap. Then you could have bought 2 or 3.

In a pure mileage standpoint - you will get more use from the Highpoint than a 20 year old van.......
