Reef: that sat photo will do, the first clearing is for state trucks or something. I'm not 100% sure what sits there.
The 2nd clearing is currently empty except for 3 big drainage pipes, and some giant rocks.
The new SGL range is just behind the 2nd clearing. exactly where the google maps marker is.

Does anyone have an address or name for the park ?

At very least, we still need charcoal, and drinks.

Here's a image of the first park. If I can sneak up there I'll get a name. At this one the grilling pavilions are between the soccer fields and 423.
Tobyhanna Park is maybe another mile or two East / North of this one on the opposite side of the road. And both have heads/grills.

Anyone know if the park is actually considered part of the base? If it is we can't go there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's a state park we have to conceal.
If it's part of a national park we can OC.

So since I have no life, and had a full tank of gas paid for by my parental unit, i took a drive up there today... the park pictured is the "coolbah twp. park" or whatever the name of the town is.

It is NOT part of the base... Kinda... From what I read on the sign at the park, it was given to the twp. to be used as a park. If you look at the "Map" tab, and not the sat. photo, it says its on army depot property, but the fence is clearly across the street from the park... There are 12-15 Picnic tables, and a large grill.

Too risky IMO unless someone can get this cleared up. Last thing I need is a humvee full of confused and anxious soldiers with loaded guns driving up on me while I eat a burger.

The Tobyhanna State Park is a stones throw up the road, and according to their website has charcoal grills and tables. I don't see anything about facilities though.

Talking about having a firearm or bow uncased in the park:
"The only exception is that law enforcement officers and individuals with a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms may carry said firearm concealed on their person while they are within the park. "

It looks like there is two areas around Lot 4 in toby state park. One is covered and one is not. The map says that there are restrooms! Look on the web site for the map:

I never looked at the map, I was just reading what the website said they had... but that does look like a better spot to meet... less chance for any unwanted excitement.

Weather.com says 77F and partly cloudy in the am for the 22nd... its also says rain for 3 days before that...

It is ok with me. I was up for the dinner idea too. We would not have to clean or cook. That would give us more time at the range.
