Dificulty of obtaining a class III firearm?
So I just got my XDm-40 4.5", and now I'm saving my pennies for my next firearm purchase. I have a shotgun, pistol, and am planning for either an AR-15, or a HK-MP5. I found the MP5 I want here, http://www.autoweapons.com/photos10/apr/1506ahk.html
Ideally I would like to get that exact one, with the semi, 3 rnd burst, and full auto. Possibly with a different stock. Aside from the procurement of the firearm it's self, how hard is it to apply for a class 3 tax stamp? How long is the wait for a response yay or neh? any guides online that explain the process/ what forms to fill out? What are my odds or approval? I know LTCF in PA is shall issue. Is this similar where if nothing is stopping you, you receive it, or can they turn you down because they found out your a lefty and not a righty ?
I am 21 years old and have a spotless record other than 1 speeding ticket, and 1 driving with no license (young and dumb, I'm legal now). I don't intend to use this for anything other than a fun on the weekends hole puncher. I have a class 3 dealer not far from me I'm going to swing by and talk to about it. And I'm heading to the gun show in York this weekend which is supposed to be the largest class 3 show in the area, or something like that.

I would like some info from someone who has purchased a class III weapon before, as well. I am unfamiliar with the process and would benefit from some info.
It's too bad we don't really have all the freedom protected by the 2nd Amendment, or I could just walk into a store, plop down my ID, and say, "I want that MP5."

Do you guys realize we have a sub-forum specifically for NFA / Class III type discussions?
I am also interested in the answers, but you might get a better response in that forum. While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I wish you luck in Lackawanna county..... I've been asking the same thing for a long time and it seems like you have to "know somebody" to get approval. I just want to know just who "somebody" is!
