    Default p228

I have a nickel p228 that needs some upgrades. I bought new night sites for it and want to upgrade the grips (has older hogues on it right now.) Will current p229 grips fit my 228? Also, the gun has a bit of slide rattle. I know this won't really affect accuracy, just wondering if there's anything that can be done about it.

    Thanks.

P229 grips should be identical although it's also common to find grips designated for the 228. I have new Hogue grip panels on my 228 and they are designated 228/229. As for the slide rattle I started to use a grease called Slide Glide recently. It's a slightly thicker consistency that I brush on to the slide and it seems to dampen any loose movement. I would have to imagine that any denser grease product would do the same but I purchased this stuff upon several recommendations.
