Open Carry OR Concealed?
I tried the search feature but found nothing relating (huge site) so I apologize in advance if it has been already said.
I carry 100% of the time. I use IWB holster probably 85% of that with T-shirt tucked in and an overshirt for the cover. Sometimes it just gets plain too hot for the overshirt/jacket and I'd like to take it off but sweat through it because of "cover". I don't like the T-shirt untucked because weapon rubbing on my skin. So here is my question: If I take off the cover shirt and I have IWB style holster is the weapon concealed or open? I always considered concealed as COMPLETELY CONCEALED and open carry as COMPLETELY IN THE OPEN. The IWB is half and half ... Just don't need or want any hassle.
Thanks

the gun would then be Open Carried. if i can tell your carrying by seeing a part of the gun, it's not concealed.

Re: Open Carry OR Concealed?
Thank you both, that is what I was thinking. So it's "open" and it's legal ... I just didn't want to be hassled by LEO who considered it "poorly concealed"
THANKS

OPEN CARRY IS LEGAL!
If you want to carry it totally concealed, then go for it. Don't sweat it if it accidentally shows.
Know the law. Become familiar with the law. Be prepared to give back a ration of shit if anyone attempts to give you any.

Wear a sleeveless (a-frame) undershirt and a thin overshirt. I've never been too hot. If you OC you should get a retention holster. A lot of folks here recomend the Blackhawk Serpa Level 2 retention holster.

Re: Open Carry OR Concealed?
Just to be perfectly clear... knowing that it is legal to carry in that manner is no guarantee that you won't be "hassled".
Just ask anyone who has had a law enforcement officer/sheriff/judge/father/security guard/bartender/dog tell them that a "CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT" means it HAS TO BE CONCEALED!!!!!!!!!!
lolI called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Open Carry OR Concealed?
I have the same situation, but I don't consider it a problem. When I get hot, I just take off my sweater or shirt and OC. I plan on buying a OWB holster with a thumb break in the next couple of weeks. The IWB isn't really that safe to OC.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Re: Open Carry OR Concealed?
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
And as far as knowing the law, leo is supposed to know that. It's part of last year's mpoetc...
Hmmm. Well, that sounds like gunfire the next block over. Maybe 4 or 5 shots, what with echoes. Gotta love easton. Anyway...
Last year's mpoetc (Municipal Police Officer's Education and Training Commission) info specifically informs the LEOs that open carry is legal.
