Can you attend the monthly meeting? The last Tuesday of the month at 7:30. I believe they will waive the sponsor if you attend this meeting.

I used to be a member of Heidelberg, but after moving to New Holland, I couldn't justify driving all the way out there anymore.

I had heard rumor that they were changing their enrollment process. Is it true that you have to pay like $50 and have certifications to be a new member now? I know some morons were shooting in the air last year and hit a farmer or something stupid...

There's a great group at Heidelberg, especially the guys that are there Saturdays around noon. It's a very beautiful and clean range. I highly recommend it to anyone in the lancaster/lebanon/berks area.

Membership fees haven't changed - there is a one time $20 charge for new members and $30 annually.

I wish they would construct a berm behind the 25 yard rifle targets to mitigate bullets impacting high or over the 50 yard berm.

    Great club...

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Why would bullets be going over the rifle range berm? If shots are kept on the provided target stands, they don't go over the berm . . . clarify?

the $20 new member fee is new. That wasn't in effect last year.

Anyone going to the short rifle ranges will see that people walk in front of the shooting positions to fire at the short targets. These rounds impact the ground and become skippers, likely passing over the berm intended to stop them. Apparently, the obeying of the range rules is not too well enforced as they are clear on target placement. The target must be placed so the round impacts the berm... If the shooter fired from the benches as intended on those ranges, that would not happen as line of fire is into the berm. Oh well, thats the way some roll.
