Re: Ak 74 style muzzle break
Would an AK-74 style brake even work with a WASR-10? The 74 is designed for a 5.45mm round, whereas the WASR (if its the standard one) is a 7.62mm. Is the opening in the 74 style brake wide enough to let a 7.62mm bullet through? I honesty have no idea; just another consideration though.

Re: Ak 74 style muzzle break
AK-74 style brakes will work just fine on a WASR-10, AK-74 brake will not... at least not without a thread adapter, and opening up the brake for the larger projectile. I have a Tapco AK-74 style brake on my WASR-10, and it works just fine, but I can't mount a bayonet due to the extra length of the brake.
Simply, The 47 uses the lug on the gas block, while the 74 uses the lug on the FSB to lock into the bayonet handle.
